About the School of Engineering
The School of Engineering at Mohan Babu University, formerly Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, was established in 1996 and now serves over 7000+ students. It offers 10 B.Tech, 1 BCA, 7 M.Tech, 1 MCA, and 10 Research Programs, with accreditations like NBA and NAAC A+ Grade. Recognized as Autonomous since 2010-11, it has earned distinctions such as the PLATINUM category by CII-AICTE and an ‘A’ Grade by Andhra Pradesh Higher Education. The school promotes cutting-edge research funded by DST, ISRO RESPOND, and UGC, supported by advanced facilities like the National MEMS Design Centre and Atmospheric Research Laboratory. Its curriculum integrates Choice-Based Credit Systems, Major/Minor Degrees, and MOOCs to enhance employability and entrepreneurship. About the Department of ECE
The Department of ECE has incepted in the year 1996 with an intake of 60 offering B. Tech (ECE). The Department has gradually progressed to an intake level of 240. Also offered post-graduation programs in VLSI Design. The B.Tech. Program was Re-accredited (fourth cycle of Accreditation) by NBA for three years (01.07.2020 to 30.06.2023). JNTUA, Anantapuramu has recognized the Department of ECE as Research Centre for Ph.D. Program. At present, the department is under prestigious Mohan Babu University and offering four under graduation programs in ECE, ECE with specialization in Embedded Systems and IoT, EIE, EIE with specialization in Biomedical Engineering, post-graduation programs in VLSI & Embedded Systems and Doctoral Degree Program. The department has well qualified faculty which includes 25 Ph.D.’s. The department is substantially equipped with state-of-art laboratories and Research Centers like Communication and Signal Processing, VLSI and Embedded Systems and MEMS to foster research activities for students and faculty. The department is also actively involved in collaborative initiatives with industry for the student and faculty centric activities.
